For the last one decade, Cane and Bamboo Technology Centre has played a pioneering role in popularizing "bamboo" as a means of enhancing people's livelihood through employment generation and also as a vehicle of sustainable development. Besides having a great economic potential, cane and bamboo has immense cultural significance, particularly for the people of North-Eastern region.
I compliment all the members of CBTC for their unstinted support to the rural poor and wish them all success.
