TRAINING ON BAMBOO HANDICRAFT AND TECHNOOLGY

The Cane & Bamboo Technology Centre (CBTC) Guwahati organized a two months residential training programme on Innovative Bamboo Handicraft & Furniture Making at Cane and Bamboo Technology Park, Burnihat, Assam from 10th May, 2013 to 8th July, 2013.
One three months basic course on “Bamboo Handicraft & Technology” was designed and developed under Technical Collaboration with GTZ/NVTS-CBTC. This two month training course was followed by the three month course. All topics were covered in this course

The training programme was sponsored by North Eastern Council (NEC), Shillong.Altogether twenty two (21) participants from five different North Eastern States were trained up under this programme .
The above trainees were nominated by different State Government Department & Non Government organizations such as:
i) Directorate of Handloom & Handicraft, Govt. of Sikkim
ii) Directorate of Commerce & Industries, Govt. of Manipur
iii) Directorate of Industries, Govt. of Assam
iv) Bamboo Development Agency, Dimapur, Nagaland
v) State Forest Research Institute, Arunachal Pradesh
Vi) Bamboo Development Agency, Mizoram
