Under the project "Promoting Livelihood in North-Eastern India: The Cane and Bamboo Networking Project" of the UNIDO, seven officials including the Director from CBTC had participated in the VIII World Bamboo Congress held at Bangkok during 16th to 19th September, 2009. CBTC also displayed some bamboo based products — both handicrafts and moulded bamboo products designed and produced at CBTC for the purpose of generating awareness among the participants of the Congress.
